OMAHA, NEB., (March 19, 2025) – The Omaha Community Playhouse (OCP) is thrilled to announce its highly anticipated 2025/26 season, featuring a diverse lineup of live performances that will inspire, entertain, and engage the community. From bold dramas and magical musicals to the poignant, nostalgic, and hilarious, the season promises something for everyone. Season subscriptions are now on sale.

The 2025/26 season marks the first in OCP’s second century, a strong follow to its celebratory centennial year. OCP’s new season showcases a series of dynamic shows that highlight the depth of Omaha-based talent. Whether a lifelong theatergoer or a first-time visitor, “Season 101” offers audiences unforgettable experiences that celebrate the power of live theater. It also marks the 50th Anniversary of Omaha’s most treasured holiday tradition, A Christmas Carol.

OCP maintains two theatres, the 550-seat Hawks Mainstage and the 200+-seat Howard Drew.

The River Bride

Angels In America
Part Two: Perestroika

Education and Mobile-Sensory Productions

In addition to its regular season and Holiday productions, OCP will offer two youth productions associated with its Shirlee and Henry Fonda Theatre Academy, Seussical Jr. and Disney’s Newsies Jr.

OCP’s mobile sensory theatre, VROOM!, will launch a brand new, original production, Beatwood Hollow. Designed especially for neurodivergent audiences and those with disabilities, it offers a one-on-one theatre experience with sensory appropriate interactive elements.

These initiatives continue OCP’s long-standing commitment to arts education and developing the next generation of performers, as well as serving as a creative home for all.

Season tickets offer the best value for those who want to enjoy the full range of productions at OCP or packages of select shows. A Young Professionals package is also available for those age 40 and under.

Individual tickets for each production will be for sale at later dates.
