Places please! Two minutes ‘til the top of the show. It’s time to present…Omaha Community Playhouse’s long anticipated 100^th Season!

100 years – can you believe it? Established in 1924, OCP provided a home for culturally minded community members to come together and experience the world and the lives of others through stories. While there is so much to celebrate during this monumental milestone, it also poses an important question – what is the next generation of the Omaha Community Playhouse?

Season 100 is the answer to that question.

If live theatre is truly a mirror reflecting our triumphs, shortcomings, struggles and most importantly – humanity itself – then that mirror must represent a vibrant array of individuals on and off our stages. Humanity can sometimes be uncomfortable. Sharing and creating stories allows us to internalize our feelings, understand our differences from various perspectives and unite us as one – a community.

That is what Season 100 represents; it’s a vision for the next 100 years of the Omaha Community Playhouse. A creative space that is for the community, by the community – where anyone can see themselves belong.

We are beyond grateful to venture into the next century with the greatest people of all – each one of you.

The scene is now set. House lights fade out, and the orchestra begins to play.
