ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Shirlee & Henry Fonda Theatre Academy Summer Internship is open to high school juniors and seniors. It’s the perfect way to gain valuable experience working in a theatre and with students in an educational capacity. The SHFTA Summer Interns will be assisting teaching artists during our Summer Session. These internships are paid & interns must submit an application below. Applications are due by April 16, 2025 & applicants will be emailed with more information the week of April 21, 2025.
INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must be at least 16 years of age
Applicants must be a junior or senior in high school
High school graduates (May 2025) are eligible to apply
Applicants should be responsible, prompt, and have a positive attitude
Applicants should have interest in theatre and/or education
INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with room set up & tear down each day
Assist with check in & check out for participating students
Assist teaching artists and directors during the camp day
Other duties as assigned
INTERNSHIP STIPEND:
$500 – June Internship
$500 – July Internship
INTERNSHIP SCHEDULE:
Onboarding & Training (middle of May, date & time TBD)
Monday – Friday | 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
JUNE INTERNSHIP: May 27 – June 27
There is no camp Monday, May 26
JULY INTERNSHIP: July 7 – August 1
Friday Performances 4:30 – 5:30 pm

Absences may result in a deduction of pay
