About Summer Internships
The Shirlee & Henry Fonda Theatre Academy (SHFTA) Summer Internship is open to high school juniors and seniors. It’s the perfect way to gain valuable experience working in a theatre and with students in an educational capacity. SHFTA Summer Interns assist teaching artists during our Summer Session. Internships are paid & interns must submit an application. More information about the application process and deadline dates will be announced in Spring 2026.
Internship Criteria:
Applicants must be at least 16 years of age
Applicants must be a junior or senior in high school
High school graduates (May 2025) are eligible to apply
Applicants should be responsible, prompt, and have a positive attitude
Applicants should have interest in theatre and/or education
Intern Responsibilities:
Assist with room set up & tear down each day
Assist with check in & check out for participating students
Assist teaching artists and directors during the camp day
Other duties as assigned
