During this one-week camp, students will have an incredible time learning all about how the words on the page make their way to the stage! Through Reader’s Theatre, acting exercises, and theatre games, students will be fully immersed in the creative process. They’ll create characters, design costumes & sets, and use their imaginations to the fullest.
MINI-PRODUCTION CAMP | THE THREE BILLY GOATS GRUFF

Let’s put on a play! In this mini-production camp, students will spend the week rehearsing a play to perform on Friday for family and friends. Every student will have a part in telling this classic tale!
ABOUT THE SHOW: Three billy goats need to cross the bridge! But will they make it to the other side? Join us to find out what they learn along the way!
During this one-week camp, students will use their creativity to build magical worlds and characters. Each day will feature a new craft meant to spark inspiration where students will have the freedom to let their imaginations soar! Through sharing stories, creating art, & collaborating with their peers, everyone will have a chance to shine.
Get ready to see the world through the lens of fairy tales! Students enrolled in this camp will use their imaginations to recreate their favorite fairy tales. Through crafts, theatre games, song, and movement, these little learners will become storytellers.

Spend the week at OCP rehearsing a play! Students enrolled in this mini-production camp will be cast in, rehearse, and perform “Dorothy’s Adventure in the Magical Kingdom of Oz.” Every student will have a performing role and assist in making props and backdrops for their show. Join us!

ABOUT THE SHOW: When the eccentric toy store owner leaves the room, all the toys come to life. When they return, the toys freeze. Each toy gets its solo moment to shine as they demonstrate their abilities to the customers.

MOVEMENT & MORE!

MONDAY – FRIDAY | 9:00AM – 12:00PM | JULY 28 – AUGUST 1
Students will explore movement and how we use our bodies to tell stories. Through dance, stretching, improvisation, and character exercises, students will have a blast moving this week!

FAQs
What time should I arrive to camp?
Students may arrive up to ten minutes early for their camp.
What if a student needs to miss a day of camp, or a few hours of camp?
That's okay! We know "life" happens. Please note, partial refunds cannot be made for missed days of camp.
May parents sit in and watch camp?
In order to help students let go of their inhibitions and develop a strong stage presence, we ask parents not to stay and watch their child in class, as it is often disruptive to the students.
What time should I pick up my child?
Your student's camp end time will be listed in your confirmation email. Your student will be ready to leave at that time. A late pick-up penalty of $25 per each extra 10 minutes after the camp end time will be imposed.
Will there be a performance at the end of camp?
Each individual camp description will have information about performances, if applicable. Some camps perform at their own Final Showcase and others do not have a performance at all. If a performance is planned, it is intended to be very informal and almost always done without lights, sets, props or costumes. The Production Camps of Annie Jr., Macbeth, and The Music Man Jr. will have special performances later in the evening.
Policies
Refunds
If you would like to cancel your student’s registration, you may do so through our ACTIVE registration system. A full refund will be issued minus a $5 processing fee for cancellations made within one week of the program’s first day. No refunds after this point, only credit toward tuition of a future class, camp or workshop within a year of the cancellation, minus a $5 processing fee. No exceptions for injury or illness.
Cancellation of Camp
If your camp is canceled, you will have the choice of a full refund (no processing fee charge) or a credit toward a future class, camp, or workshop.
Behavior: In order to ensure students derive maximum benefit and enjoyment from the classroom experience, students who become disruptive or disrespectful will be removed from class with no refund of tuition.
Photo & Video Release
Omaha Community Playhouse often takes photographs and video during events for use in brochures and the web. By registering you agree that OCP may use any image of you or your child that might appear in photographs or video taken at OCP.
