Requirements

Before for our visit:

  • Schools must complete a pre-visit checklist to confirm that logistical needs will be met. This will also include a survey to collect basic information about all students participating, which allows us to provide the best possible experience for each audience member. Think of it as a miniature IEP!

During our visit:

  • Parking/Performance Space: The Mobile Sensory Theatre is a converted cargo van, and requires a large, flat, outdoor space, preferably with minimal distractions. Parking lots, courtyards, and grass patches work great! Overhangs and shade welcome but not required. The van requires 9’ of clearance.
  • Power: Access to 3-prong outlet (outside wall, extension cord from interior, etc).
  • Restroom/Water Access: Please make sure restrooms and water are available for the 2 visiting actors.
  • Optional – Lunch: Schools are asked to consider donating lunch to the 2 visiting actors.

After our visit:

  • Feedback Survey: Please have every adult involved with the booking process or performances complete a feedback survey about their experience.
  • Student Response: Please engage students in a brief activity to help us thank our funders & donors. Thank-you cards, drawings, a short recording, photos, etc are all fantastic options.

Weather: VROOM! is best enjoyed in fair weather and may need to be postponed in the event of low temperatures, extreme heat, precipitation, etc. We will do everything in our power to reschedule performances cancelled due to inclement weather!
