FAQ

What time should I arrive?

Adult students can arrive up to ten minutes before their class begins. They should enter through the stage door behind the building. The Director of Education will be there to let you in.

What if a student needs to miss a class?

Please let us know in advance if a you will miss any classes so the teacher can adjust their lesson plan accordingly. Refunds cannot be made for missed classes.

May others sit in and watch the class?

Adult classes are closed to the public.

Will there be a performance at the end of classes?

All class descriptions contain information about final presentations. Some classes have a sharing day on the last day of class for family and friends that may wish to observe. Not every class will present a play or other performance on sharing day. If a performance is planned for sharing day, it is intended to be very informal and almost always done without lights, sets, props or costumes.

What is the Kids Connect option?

KidzConnect is a space for creation & connection. KidzConnect is open to children ages 5+ of adult students enrolled in any HFTA class. While guardians are taking class, their children are engaged in crafts, games, & activities built just for them & under the direction of HFTA teaching artists. KidzConnect must be purchased at the time of enrollment. This KidzConnect session will take place during the adult's registered class time.
