Steve Krambeck and Emily Neve Mokrycki have long been at the heart of the Cratchit family in A Christmas Carol at the Omaha Community Playhouse, bringing warmth, charm, and heart to one of the most beloved holiday productions in the region. Their contributions span years of performances, mentoring, and helping to preserve the tradition that has delighted audiences for decades.

Emily Neve Mokrycki first joined the production in 2010, stepping into the role of Mrs. Cratchit, which she played for seven consecutive years. During that time, she became an integral part of the company, forming lasting friendships with fellow performers and crew members. Emily recalls fondly her involvement in the documentary “Casting Call to Curtain Call” during her second year in the show, alongside her friend Jenny Goos and family, a moment that highlighted the personal and professional connections that this production fosters. She also treasured working with former students who became part of the technical team, helping to create magical moments on stage like riding in on the Cratchit house. One of her most meaningful experiences came from sharing the stage with her husband, Joe, from 2014 to 2016, a personal holiday tradition that extended into family memories as their son Eddie later came to experience the show. In 2024, Emily returned to the production as Associate Director, assisting Susie Baer Collins and Jim McKain, continuing her dedication to mentoring and supporting the ongoing legacy of A Christmas Carol.

Steve Krambeck has been a longtime contributor to the production, bringing dedication, humor, and heart to his portrayal of Bob Cratchit. For Steve, the magic of the show lies in both the performance and the collaborative environment backstage.
